When to use Thule Infant Sling or Baby Supporter – main differences

Use Infant Sling for younger babies who cannot sit, and Baby Supporter for babies who can sit upright independently.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The main difference between the Thule Infant Sling and Baby Supporter is your child’s age and ability to sit upright.

  • Infant Sling (1–10 months):
Designed for babies who cannot sit independently. It provides a reclined, hammock-like position with maximum support and stability.

There are two versions depending on your trailer model:

  • Baby Supporter (6–18 months):
Designed for babies who can sit upright on their own. It offers a more upright seating position with padded sides and head support.

👉 If your baby cannot sit steadily → choose Infant Sling
👉 If your baby can sit upright → choose Baby Supporter

In the overlap period (6–10 months), the choice depends on your child’s development and stability.
