How do you define the purchase price?

buyout price calculation

Updated over 2 months ago

The buyout price is calculated as follows:

  1. We start with Parently’s standard buyout price, which is based on the brand partners’ recommended retail price (RRP) and should be the same across all retailers.

  2. We subtract the rental fees you have already paid – up to a maximum of three months.

  3. If the product is pre-loved, you receive an additional 15% discount on the buyout amount.

We always try to price match as much as possible, but sometimes it is not feasible because other retailers may run temporary promotions or special discounts.

All current buyout prices can be found in our price list.

Example (pre-loved):

Product: Thule Chariot Cross 2 Double
New price: 16,000 SEK
Monthly rental fee: 550 SEK
Buyout in month 3

  1. Up to 3 months deducted: 3 × 550 = 1,650 SEK

  2. Pre-loved discount: 16,000 × 15% = 2,400 SEK

  3. Final buyout price: 16,000 – 1,650 – 2,400 = 11,950 SEK

The customer pays 11,950 SEK to buy the stroller.
